Well, since I can't take off my current leafs to swap over my 5 lug overload anyway.. i think i'll leave the 4x4 packs as they are, so nothing gets messed up. I'll PM you brian when my funds are in order

Check all your possibilties?

I paid 300.00 for used. there not that cheap. That was in the high cost of living, state of California. I have noticed some car parts get cheaper the further east you go.-and I dont mean any major metropolitan area(New York City, Chicago).

check all your possibilties for dropping the rear..I could name a few.
  • Steel Drop blocks
  • Although, not familiar with concept, de-arch your springs, not sure if it just makes them firmer and/or drops the rear as well.
  • Get Used Pre-runner leafs(shop around compare, physically pick them up so you can see them, and also might have pairs to choose from)-you might also be able to get a vin number with a history of what they came out of and how many miles or on them.
  • Buy new custom, or after market made leaf springs (all together I would think more expensive)...
  • I beleive anything else would possibly be crap, or get more expensive.
In my experience, my pre-runner leafs work great with new KYB mono max shocks...(firm shocks)

None the less it is a MOD (modification). There engineered for a pre-runner, not a regular cab.

-Check the site do searches.. There are plenty of cool people here with lots more experience. Good luck!

-MAJOR SIDE NOTE

Unlike "Sunny California" many of the used parts you get back east get eat'n up on the exterior under carriage of the vehicle, due to all the road treatments they utilize because of the four seasons(elements). Additional, maintenance might be involved any used parts bought out of the north east... I'm sure you know.
