Help - dash lights don't work

I was trying to figure out how to connect my pyrometer gauge to the dimmer the other day and now none of my dash, ashtray, or glovebox lights work. The dome light, headlights, tail lights, etc. all work.

The only thing I did was connect a light bulb to what I thought was the two dimmer wires going to the stereo to see if those would work for tapping my gauge bulb wires into. The stereo still lights up and slightly dims when I turn on the headlights. Obviously the fuse is okay since my tail lights still work.

Any ideas? Could the rheostat be f'ed up?

The only thing I disconnected temporarily was the plug to the stereo so I could temporarily connect a light bulb to see if it would dim.

I checked all the fuses beneath the dash and under the hood and they're all fine. Plus, the stereo still dims when I turn the headlights on which is odd since it's on the same circuit as the dash lights and heater lights.

:selfbonk: Nevermind. The plug on the back of the dimmer knob was unplugged :selfbonk: It's usually something stupid like that. Thanks for the help though.

Now I just need to figure out how to find room to tap into the dimmer wires for my gauges.
